Yes, half-term hath early arriven etc. etc. Therefore, I am sorting out various newspaper clippings (woohoo Mrs Gandhi!) and making new lj icons as opposed to, you know, nicking other people's.

Didn't end up watching ER - Coyote Ugly was on and my sister has a thing about it so...it was cool. I still love that movie. Taught myself how to half-touchtype but still find it easier (and quicker) to do it by watching my fingers instead.

Newspapers are a bitch to scan and alter, as I have found out today. Thirty-five pics to touch up and alter so I can make my icons. God, why am I such a pic freak?

I read a gorgeous, absolutely wonderful poll in yesterday's The Independent that made me smile all evening - Kerry is ahead in the polls. Yay Kerry! What's slightly more frightening is all the recent commotion around the BNP. Grr argh. Yes, you are very welcome to your personal political opinion but I am just as entitled to tell you where to shove it if it endangers me. It's so difficult to promote equality when people are blowing the issue up everyday.
I mean, my family's bad enough with their rascist diatribes and I forgive them only because they were part of another community and when they came here, the racism against them was awful. But my family are good because they don't go around stirring racial hatred and their opinions are confined to the dining table. In fact, not even there anymore because mum and dad know that I hate the way they talk about those things. AND their comments aren't even the type to cause offence, they just use references that aren't exactly kosha. but they'd never use them in public and they're good citizens.
It bugs me that this is a conversation I have to have with some people in my school (read: one person) but I'm ok with the fact that you all have your own opinions and you all have your own beliefs. Just get to grips, already, with the fact that I have my own.

To do: Sort out newspaper clippings, amke new icons, call The Smiles and make sure that French exam went ok, mail LaDenz and make sure she's swell. Call Michi-shell. What else? Oh yeah, watch my tapes already.

I love half term.

Oh, also, I need to learn an entire novel but I have a week in which to do that, right? Right?
