Dec. 1st, 2005 11:33 amSo, this morning, instead of motivating myself, I've finally caught up on my Numb3rs viewage. You know it's odd because I love the show but so much about what makes it good is also what makes me cringe. Can I just say that the whole Megan and Larry thing so did not come as a surprise to me. As a character, I completely love Megan. Yes, ok, she's not Terry in any shape or form, but she's just as good. Colby is so much less of a jackass since the first time we met him and David is David, so my love is fairly complete.
This season is a bit more shaky on the math, and I really wish they'd give Amita something substantial to do. The whole thing with her and Charlie was cute, but now they need to start moving it forward a little bit, shaking out the loose ends, and making them compatible again. I couldn't watch half the scenes with Colin Hanks in them, although the Penfield Variation was cute. 2x08 was entirely too shouty for me, and I wanted to throttle Don and Charlie, although Megan's plotline in that episode was nicely played out. The episode with the young buy made me happy on a ridiculous level, but that's pretty much counteracted by everytime that ADA turns up on screen. Oh, the plot about the boys' friend who was getting married? Val Eng? Mwhahaha. Awesome. I liked how that episode started to really confront the whole Charlie&Don relationship, the brotherhood, the conflicts they both suffer. That being said, it also put a nice marker on their ages. The Eppes Family scenes always get me, but I think I've squeed about that enough times for people to get that. Oh, and now we have more Colby and David background! David is from the Bronx, Colby is ex-army from Winchester (hahaha), Idaho. Where's Megan from??
HAHA. Edgerton. So much love. That was awesome. But that was TRIP. Trip is a beef farmer now? Or should that be "was" a beef farmer?? Haha. Awesome.
I know that I'm barely coherent when it comes to this show but seriously, so much love.
OK, I should really go write up all of my notes now.
ETA: Oh, I forgot to mention that I finally saw Hero last night. Visually stunning, as ever, and fairly emotional but damn was it confusing! Still, I'm probably going to re-watch it this evening. Yeh, we didn't end up going to The Hobbit because various people cut out and then people missed the bus. Anyway. Notes. Now.
