Aw, Jamie Bamber is so cute! (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] santabutt for the link!)

Jamie talking about Kara & Lee

And has anyone seen the new BSB video? Are they for real?

I thought so; I recognised some stints in it. It's crazy! It took me a while to figure out the band, lol.

It's just fabulous. They pull it all off SO well - especially considering that two of them were born at the beginning of the 80's and are certainly not even old enough to remember it all first hand and 1 of them is iffy while two of them are definitely old enough. *cough* They hit every cliche so perfectly.

I laughed so hard the first time I saw it. In all its cheesy goodness. hee!! It was cool because at the concert, Nick's introduction was that it was a special dedication to the fans from a group called Sphynkter (their alters in the video). . . .It was great!

It is awesome. There's one shot that looks liek Aerosmith or something... it was Nick that i recognised first, actually.

I've spotted very specific shout outs for:

White Snake
Van Halen
Poison
Kiss
Stryper
Guns n Roses

Nick was on vocals (obviously, since he does them for the song), AJ on drums, then Brian, Howie and Kevin on guitar....

I'm not as clued in to how they looked so I missed most of the references. That being said, the vid is great fun, so kudos to them!

Mmm kay.. . . .

In the parking lot before the "concert" there was a Van Halen hat (which was less shout out and more wardrobe), someone was rolling around on a car hood a la Tawny Kitaen from White Snake's Here I Go Again video. During the "concert," Kevin was doing the rapid tongue licking thing a la Gene Simmons of Kiss, Nick danced like Axel Rose from Guns N Roses (mostly during the Sweet Child o' Mine video, it was his signature thing), Brian, Howie and Kevin jumped over the speakers a la Poison and (I think?) their Nothing but a Good Time video (or mabe it was Talk Dirty to Me?). And the velvet curtain that was behind the stage? Where it said Sphynkter? Was written in the same font that Stryper used for their logo.

Yes, I am a geek. I am also a child that was there for all of this. :-D

No, not geek - totally cool! I'm going to have to watch out for them! Espeically the White Snake and Gun'N'Roses because I know those two, at the very least. Hee. Now I can't wait for TMF to show the vid again!

hee! You have to remmeber, Kevin is only a year older than I am... (he's almost 34, btw), so he and I were both really there for all of this. hee! Good Lord, I had Poison and White Snake posters EVERYwhere... And Guns N' Roses... *sigh*

They must have had a blast with the video. I just wish more bands were that able to let loose with themselves. But then again, I'm not the hugest pop fanatic. I like the music, I own some of it but I just don't follow it as much as I used to.

I think I'm going to hunt out my Xtina albumn, actually. I have no BSB which I must rectify; I loved all their old school stuff.

Mmmmmmmmmmm Xtina. . . ..

There was a short "Making of" for the video which was just hysterical. Those boys are just NOT wrapped tight.

Also? I could YSI their old school stuff if you want... Anything specific?

Oh, no, that's cool; I just messengered a friend who's sending me stuff now (big zipped file *g*) Thanks for the offer, though :)

And I told a lie; I have Larger than life on a compilation albumn. There was a song they released at that time, but I can't remember what it's called. I do remember the video (and the song too, actually) had a girl talking on the phone...and there were winding stairs...

I'm making no sense at all, am I? But that's the one I'm looking for, lol.

YAY for zip files! :-D

My son (age 6) LOVES Larger than Life and has it memorized. Phone and stairs? The ONLY video I can think of that you might be talking about is for the Call. Hm.

Are you sure? If it's not too much trouble, that would be great! But don't worry if you don't have it. I'll just Limewire it :)

Are you on dial up or faster connection? I have it on DVD that I could rip, but it takes a couple of hours to do that, so Limewire may end up being faster, depending on yuor connection.
