So, yesterday ended the way it began, which is to say, in a CRAZY fashion. I spent most of the day re-writing/editing the fic that I submitted for [livejournal.com profile] numb3rswriteoff (*cough*youcanfindithere*cough*) and in the late afternoon, my cousin from N. turned up, which was awesome. The Rentals went to a restaurant; we went to see Hairspray. I've been wanting to see it for a while now, and it was completely worth it. That's a film with high entertainment value. We left the theatre in high spirits. It was a great night.

Woke up at 9am, sat down with Cousin et al. for about an hour; they left at 10. Opened my post, answered some text messages. Et cetera. Today looks like it's going to be lovely and quiet, for which I'm grateful.

Haha, this song? Is called I'm Sorry, But I'm Beginning to Hate Your Face. And it's actually not so bad. And it's Friday, so, you know. Keep your eyes open.

Reading! I was awake early enough to sit down and indulge, thankfully. Symptomatic isn't striking me in the same way as Caucasia, but it's edging into more interesting and pressing territory. Slightly creepy.

Speaking of creepy, Damages continues to terrify me, mostly for reasons unknown, and I have Saving Grace to watch, huzzah!

FB's message notification system drives me up the flipping wazoo.

delga: ([thandie] you should try harder.)

Thandie lightens up.

“The Pursuit of Happyness was miserable. I could barely get to grips with the idea of it. But I realised that if a woman wants to do that, she’s at the end. If you leave your kids, you want to die. That’s the only way I could think of it and that’s the way I played it. I hope that came across. You should have seen the script when I first got it. I thought, ‘Shit, I’ve got to do this. I can’t let someone else portray this character as a one-dimensional bitch.’ That would be another strike against women. To give them credit, the director and Will knew that.”

LOVE.
