{ In Which Meish is still on Hiatus }
Oct. 17th, 2005 11:32 amBut YAY! We re-orderedthe laptop an dthe estimated date of arrival is the 24th (which I've counted and makes out to be a week from now). I'm currently in the Campus computer room and have just typed up five fics. I had a lecture thsi morning on "What is a Text?" although it did refer to Old English equivalents of literature. it was interesting, actually. At 11.55 I have a seminar on OE grammar (I think) which I'm going to balls up because although I've been efficient with my reading (and am ahead! of! schedule!) I forgot to learn my pronouns and articles. Sigh. I opted out of doing a language because I suck at learning things like this and now, becauuse of the LTC course, I'll actually be learning runes. Oh dear.
This afternoon, I have a lecture on S&S (which I finally finished last week, along with Mary Barton and the fabulous, fabulous, fabulous Jane Eyre that I always love reading over and over) and a poetic language lecture, too, although that was somethingof a farce last time and I don't see why it should be any different today. This weekend, I re-read Atkinson's Not the End of the World (
tigertrapped, you'll love this book, I swear; all that mythos and mortality) and started the next three texts: To The Lighthouse (a little difficult to comprehend; Virginia Woolf is the Queen of Sentences of Dooooom), Their Eyes Were Watching God (if you like The Colour Purple, you'll like this) and Wide Sargasso Sea (OMG PUBLISHED FANFIC).
Argh! I had more to say and a flist to check! Some other time, perhaps? I will go through all of your ljs soon. Until then, adios.
