So, first day back wasn't so bad afterall, epecially considering it was a full day. Had an interesting conversation about drug companies in G.S. and did some essay prep in lit. I find out my courseowrk grade soon. I don't think I want to know until results day, thanks. I have lang. tomorrow and an exam paper to hand in but I have a double free before that lesson, not to mention a lunch hour, too. Psych. was fifty-fifty, what with the IT booking. Grr. The monitors are too close and blurry, the chairs give no back support and the room is so warm. Bleurgh.

Last night's ER was really good if you ignored everything that wasn't to do with Weaver. I love Laura Innes so much - every episode she is given, she completely rocks and last night's was no exception. she's a very subtle, very astute actress and she doesn't get given enough kudos for that.

I'll watch last night's Alias before tonight's CSI; Ricky Gervais is set to make an appearance. Say it with me - oh god.

April, apparently, is National Poetry Month. Why did I not know this?! As a result, I'm going to link to 11 poems and post a twelfth here. And everyday this month, I'm going to post another poem. Yes? Yes. I'll try not to link to Prufrock or Cope's Flowers again. I won't even link to Plath's Daddy, ok?

  1. April 1st: To Any Reader by Robert Louis Stevenson
  2. April 2nd: The Actor by Ernest Henry
  3. April 3rd: The Computation by John Donne
  4. April 4th: 'Death is a dialogue between' by Emily Dickinson
  5. April 5th: The Hollow Men by T.S. Eliot
  6. April 6th: Attack by Siegfried Sassoon
  7. April 7th: Mental Cases by Wilfred Owen
  8. April 8th: The Guppy by Ogden Nash
  9. April 9th: An extract from 'Sing-song' by Christina Rossetti
  10. April 10th: The Rival by Sylvia Plath
  11. April 11th: Sonnet 141; 'In faith I do not love thee with mine eyes' by Shakespeare
  12. April 12th: Wendy Cope: As sweet )

I love that last couplet. I can't decide if the poem's funny or not, though.
