Ugh...

How stupid is it that every time I read one of Sars' updates I have to go back and read all the other ones that came before it??

In other news, am taking little sister (with little sister's friend) to see Bride and Prejudice today. Ok. I admit. I want to see it too. But Ronnie and family went and Ronnie said it wasn't so bad and I trust his opinions about as far as I can throw them but I still want to see the movie because, well, Aishwarya Rai.

All this to point out that I'm not such a bad big sister. Well, not all the time. Sometimes I'm ok. Really.

Bride and Prejudice

OK, so the movie wasn't so bad. That's not to say that it was a good movie but it was an enjoyable movie and I kinda knew what I was going in for anyway. There are parts (just like Bend It Like Beckham) that I don't think people will understand unless they understand Asian culture but pfft. Whatever. It's a funny film. It's not particuarly clever and if you've read Pride and Prejudice you know what's going to happen. Don't hate on Aishwarya Rai though because her character's a little snobbish but then, I thought that about Elizabeth Bennet too so I guess she was fairly in character.

I now have the urge to do dandhia raas though. And garba. Especially since I missed navratri this year.

I liked the music. Reminded me too much of Bollywood Dreams. Again, a good production but I don't think Bollywood should be formatted to western tastes. It doesn't make sense otherwise. You have to suspend your disbelief for the film to work. I now want to see the Hindi version, lol.

OK...off to do essays now. I have so much work to do yet.

Also, Sports Night S1 finale? Isaac's back!! So now I'm so happy!
