{ the morning after the day before }
Jul. 8th, 2005 09:20 amIn terms of everything that has happened, please read what
hestia8 has to say because it's very truthful and honest. I am proud, too, of the way things have been handled. I'm still shocked and sad, but I'm proud. Also, my uncle and my cousin were safe (although my uncle was horridly close by) and every one else that we needed to find were found.
In other news, tonight is my prom. Yeh. Don't quite know whether or not that's a good thing. So the plan for today is to help The Mother do some chores (because I don't want to argue with The Mother today; too exhausting), read the updates on { Bright Shiny Objects } and try not to freak out some time during the course of the day. Or maybe I'll reserve an hour in the middle of the day just to lose it before tonight. Yes, perhaps that's a better course of action.

Foreman had guts, I'll give him that. And the entire sequence with Chase and the nun was really nicely played out. The end montage was a little tacky, but meh, it was a Christmas episode and I'm suffering July at the moment. House himself did not lose his wit which was very good to see. Some excellent lines.
Cameron's gift should have been tacky, too, but it was cute because it fitted with her character. "I'm just trying to be nice," "You know, you don't have to do that all the time." I think House almost admired Foreman for sticking one to him. But the three of them are getting so stereotyped, it's unnerving. Getting a peek at Chase's motivations was interesting and nicely played out. It also means that the writers don't have to look at him again for another year or so. /cynical
The dynamic between Cuddy and House is interesting because she genuinely seems to want to help him and he doesn't always want that help. I think that the end scene (when she tells him that he did good work on the case) was pivotal because it shows that in the long run, Cuddy can suck it up and House isn't always an ass about being right. I guess what I'm trying to say is that they were both gracious. Oh, one more point, whilst I recognised most of the nuns from elsewhere, the one that struck me most? Only Elizabeth Mitchell from The Lyon's Den. She was the one in the bed, for those of you not in the know. Amazing what a hair cut can do for you, eh?
OK, off to go do...stuffs now. Like the washing. Let's wash some clothes and iron some blouses. Yes, let's.

Date: 2005-07-08 04:19 am (UTC)Ha ha! Yes, indeed. Thank you. I haven't flipped out just yet. No doubt I will return c.midnight and furiously type it all out (being compulsive in that manner). The most ridiculous thing is that I have to start getting ready 2 hours in advance (question, if after the fact is post hoc, would perihoc be before the fact?) because I am going to wear a sari. Because I am stupid. *sigh*
