So much for using today to work on fic. Yesterday's wine-buying did not happen so that will take place this morning. Fic will have to come this afternoon. I am editing a piece of work tigertrapped and I have done together but (as she knows) I am worried about a few things. I am far too obsessive with fic. That's why I never finish anything.

Yesterday I watched more BSG. I can't d/l the miniseries from anywhere *cries* Everyime I try, the file is corrupted. I also watched the film I taped at the weekend: The Deep End. In it, Tilda Swinton has a Gay Son whose boyfriend is some sort of badass. Anyway, Swinton kills The Badass and disposes of the body (although it's played out more like she just got rid of the body) and then Goran Visjnic comes along with a tape of her son being screwed in order to extort money from her. But when he comes to collect the money the next day, Swinton's father-in-law has a heart-attack and Visjnic ends up helping her. To cut a long film short, Visjnic is working for someone else and he tries to help Swinton. Then the Someone Else comes after Swinton and Visjnic saves her. He takes Someone Else and organises a car accident. All the way through this, Swinton's Gay Son thinks she's having an affair. At the end, the mother-son relationship is resolved. Swinton, as ever, is amazing but I do wonder why Visjnic gets drawn to these roles. I mean, it's a stupid film that makes relatively little sense. Nothing actually happens in it. It's supposed to be a thriller. Um, no. But the eye-candy was nice, I guess.

I have been watching bits of New Tricks with The Mother and I very much like the song (It's alright,it's ok, doesn't really matter if you're old and grey, it's alright, it's ok, we're gettin' to the end of the day) they use. It's an amusing little detective show. I think they're repeating teh first series next week because the second one finsihed on Monday. The Mother wants me to tape it.

*sigh* I need to 'spring-clean' this room. There are files and books and pieces of paper everywhere. I need to organise everything and bin all the stuff I don't need anymore. Or put it in boxes. I like boxes.
