Um, help?

So, a while a go, there was this WaT fic that was a futurefic and Danny and Martin were running from the toppled establishment...or something. And then they split up and Danny makes it back to New York and he keep waiting for Martin at an assigned place but he doesn't turn up and Danny feels betrayed. I don't think my synopsis does the fic any justice.

Thing is, I can't find it. I can't remember where it is. Does anyone know what fic I'm talking about?

Thanks wliberation! And for all those interested, the best WaT fic I've read is by nekosmuse. It's called Fires of Rome. A very touching, haunting fic that's set in a post-apocalyptic future (love how antithetical that phrase is) and deals with issues of fear, love and loneliness (to name but a few).

Oooh, I think that might be Neko's Fires of Rome (sorry but I can't be bothered to find the direct link right now; just go to her webpage and you'll find it). Does it have those creepy sweeper guys and Danny drinking? If yes, then it's that. Oh, I just love that story, it's definitely one of her best, probably in the top ten of all ff stories I've ever read.
