I'm just saying, I have about 15 pages of notes on Rambaldi and I'm still not entirely sure what the storyline's truly about. No, scratch that-- I don't fully understand THE PROPHECY part. Like, if the Chosen One and the Passenger are good or bad, really.

explain the clock episode to me?

The one where she brings the clock to the old man and then he's shot by Anna? The thing is, the old guy she's talking to IS the clockmaker. Rambaldi apparently gave him the secret to living a very, very, very long life... and then foretold the exact day of his death.

I think the thing to remember about Rambaldi is that one artifact is only important because it's part of the larger puzzle. Like, the 47 pieces that assemble to form Il Dire... which only ends up being a big piece in an even LARGER puzzle. It's supposed to fuck with your mind like that.
