I don't know how many people know that The Killing is the American remake of Forbrydelsen. I was remarking on the similarities of the pilot, because whilst I'm used to pilots being word-for-word re-enactments of the original, sometimes even the SHOTS were copied.
But then there are subtle differences - Lund's relationship with her Swedish boyfriend is very different to Linden's relationship with CKR's character. Holder, and his Danish counterpart, Meyer, are both a bit of male bluster in Linden and Lund's quiet, focused worlds, but Holder is a bit of an asshole, whereas Meyer was just a bit clueless.
Am excited! I love Mireille Enos as Linden. And I loved all of Forbrydelsen, so.
