EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT WAS MOST EXCELLENT!

Ruth! Amphitrite! RUNNING AROUND NOT DETONATING BOMBS!

Basically everything I love about Spooks. I especially enjoyed Ruth thinking on her feet, and Beth yelling at Kai to keep his fucking eyes open.

It is kind of strange to watch Lucas being a bastard, but in a good way; now at least he isn't an apologist (I hate that); he's just a son of a bitch. Which. I can get behind that. (His Authoritative Voice is so...patronising! He is so patronising! Like... not Adam, so much as he would like to be what Adam was, and is too much of a flake to actually pull it off. Or something.) Add to that Ruth's spidey sense, and you appeal to that which I enjoy the most: suspicions! OH boy, the finale this year is going to be a fucking stand-off.

Dimitri is like, idk, Lucas 2.0? He has to run everywhere and do things and be competent whilst other people are more overtly saving the day.

In conclusion: I am still right about Tariq and Dimitri needing to be the best of BFFs but, jesus, Tariq, are you ILL? Your pallor fills me with woe.

Honestly, because I am me, the best damn part was the entire room of blank stares as Ruth immediately got the Greek reference, only to follow it up with a look that screamed, "Anyone? Anyone? ...Bueller?"

I even liked Lucas being a ruthless bastard and fucking up someone's life, much as I was yelling at him not to, because he would have to be some kind of ruthless to survive for 8 years as a Brit spy in a Russian prison, so it makes sense.

RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTH. Just, she is wonderful, presumably they don't let her in the field often because she shows the rest of them up.

I want to marry Beth. If she makes a mistake then she will damn well fix it! I lvoe her.

Dimitri is lovely, and yay for things to do, but is still very young.

I KNOW, what is up with Tariq? is it just shit lighting, or does he actually that ill? I don't think he looked like that last series.
