Of this hallowed house
Wherein the mind resides,
Don't crack the cage
Of bone and dust:
          The beast within will stir
And rousing this forlorn figment
To pace and pound the ground
Will leave the walls
All shattered down;
Will take away the piece
Of mind proposing to a peace
And Slumber will vacate this space,
Pack with haste and leave this place
Until, when Dawn knocks on the door
The Weary World will groan and mourn
The beast will growl and
Prowl the dust and bone
My sainted mind; his night-time home.
So, begging, pleading,
Heed this sign,
Make no noise, leave me sublime -
