It has been the sort of week where as soon as I get one thing done, three more things need doing. I don't think I'm going to get half of what I need doing done by the end of the day, and I really wish I was taking a half day tomorrow (as initially planned) as opposed to a whole one, but needs must.

I spoke to my line manager yesterday and RE may be coming over some time next week to help out. Which is excellent as my cubicle is currently a paper fortress, with turrets and everything.

This evening The Dad's cousin sister and her husband are coming to bring their daughter's wedding invitation. I'm sure this will be lovely as she is a very nice person but it's always awkward when it's been years since you've last seen someone you didn't know all that well to begin with. Also: my room is a mess. I did the best I could ten minutes ago but you can't do anything about piles of stuff without an hour to spare.

[livejournal.com profile] twincy, when you said you'd sent me something, did you mean you'd returned a letter I sent in February? Because that's what landed on my mat yesterday. Apparently you are no longer at that address.

Dear Royal Mail: don't be so fucking lazy.

Uh, what? I sent you an actualfax letter! On Monday! Where the fuck did that go?? (Yeah the Royal Mail did spend a few weeks pretending my house didn't exist, but I think they're over that now because I got your crane-message!)

I'm imagining your paper fortress and you are wearing a paper military hat sitting over a waving garden of faxes and information. My head image of you is so adorable. IDK, my mind is amusing sometimes.
