She was! I was surprised! Not because it was out of the realm of possibility, or not because I don't love her (fuck yes, I really, really do) but just... I don't know. I wasn't expecting it. She knocked it out, though.
I wasn't expecting her to suddenly get such a large, vital story, (considering she was a minor character in the last series), and I genuinely wasn't expecting the werewolf thing to be resolved as quickly or in the way that it was. She was brilliant, though. I'm a bit squiffy on the scene in the bedroom where George suddenly makes out he's about to attack her, but her reaction? The way she gets right up in his face and then smells the perfume on him? Just fantastic.
I loved that sudden spurt of violence from George; it felt real. I mean. I'm not in on domestic violence, natch, but I think it was the right instinct to pursue, especially considering Nina's history. Gosh, SHE WAS GREAT.
