So, I just watched The Happening which, whilst maintaining Signs' weird humour choices, was actually pretty good. I sat here all freaked out. It was marvellous. It's not exactly anything new, but I like me a good post-apocalyptic scenario. The thing about Mark Wahlberg is that whenever I see him I now think of Mark Wahlberg talks to animals. It's not that I took him all that seriously before the sketch, but it was so spot on that I can't deal with his voice any more.
Zooey Deschanel, by the way? Totally a wonder in this film. She played against type for most of it, and I loved her.

New Doctor, blah blah etc. It's a shame that the fandom is as crazy as a fork in a microwave; I'd be more inclined to sympathy otherwise.

I really don't remember having done anything today. I had two arguments about meals (yeah, and people wonder how I ever managed to succumb to that bullshit; idk, maybe because I hear it two or three times a day? Fuck); I caught up with Criminal Minds (the cop episode was a bore; the Director Skinner in a Car episode was brilliant); I watched some CSI: NY whilst ironing (the end scene where Lindsay and Danny go to see Mac was the most gleeful thing ever); and then there was other stuff which was wholly inconsequential. Much like life in general.

Ugh, I need to read a book this year already. Yuletide was great but the screen is totally bugging my eyes, yo. Other things I need: new spectacles. Or, you know, new eyes. There's an idea.

Basia Bulat did a session with Daytrotter aaaaages ago and the first track she performed was one that she's planning on putting on her new album. PEOPLE. I NEED THIS ALBUM TO BE OUT NOW. That song just burrows into my brain and makes me feel like I'm being chased down a street by Evil Leaves. I LOVE IT.
