Dear Everyone Else,

There have been a lot of 'leave your addresses for cards!!1!' posts, and I think they're great. I really, truly do. They're so kindly and giving and just all-round lovely. But I haven't put my name down for any. (a) because I like to reciprocate, and that's not really possible at this point and (b) because I don't really do Christmas cards. Um. I come across something of a Christmas miser mostly because the elements of the season that seem to bring people glee are the parts that I couldn't care less for, haha. But! Think of this as a collective seasonal yayarms: I love you all in a mostly unironic way, and I hope that you are all well or recovering, and that you are happy and healthy and merry whatever the time of year. x

pea ess: postcard exchange will be delayed this year. & also will be less of an exchange and more of a chance for me to bombard y'all with random. Huzzzzzzz.

Today was pretty good. I'm really enjoying my stint at the computer centre, and I will be sad when I have to leave. I like the atmosphere there, I guess. Hmm.

Aw, I love you too! Even if you are a Christmas miser. (Christmas makes me slightly grumpy, too! Mostly because nobody ever tells me what gifts they want, and then I end up spending too much money on them). I am sending you a couple of things for Christmas, but they're things I meant to send months ago. I'm just too lazy to buy a box. Also, completely seriously: should I send you a Christmas card, or would you rather have a letter?

Haha, I do love things like family gatherings - I love that! I also enjoy Christmas music, so long as I only start listening to it in the second half of December. And party hats! And crackers! All this stuff is great. Things I hate: seeing it all in the latter half of November. (Also: Christmas decorations annoy the heck out of me. I AM TERRIBLE AND MISERLY.)

I, too, have something to send you but I, um. I have the thing, I just can't send it to you, heh. My fiscal situation, it is a bitch. But I'll get it to you eventually! Maybe by carrier pigeon (sidenote: that would be SO AMAZING; I might die of cool)?

True, true! I enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas (for example: I'm still planning to go to London to photograph the lights), but I basically hate the fact that it apparently starts in late October. Also: the argument we have about getting a tree, about where to put it, and about how to decorate it. I basically put up my 1ft fake Christmas tree in my room -- which has had baubles on it since I put it in the wardrobe last Christmas -- and that's my decorating done.

See, now I'm curious. But don't worry about it, seriously - wait until you have a comfortable fiscal situation! Unless you can send it by carrier pigeon, in which case: do!
