Baby Cousin went in to have her tonsils removed yesterday. I haven't heard from her parents, but she should be okay. Hopefully we'll see her today.

So, this past week I started volunteering at the local community centre. I've been helping out with admin at a computer class, and yesterday I was doing one-on-one sessions with some of the people there. (Played with a Mac for the first time ever. Shiny!) From this Monday onwards I'll also be manning the front desk. It's something to tide me over until I actually get employed, and it can't hurt my CV.

This is what I meant about being a 50-year-old woman, though. Everyone at the centre is fifty years or plus. One of the most engaging interactions was when the lady in charge of the office tricked someone else into making her a cup of tea. No. Really.
