So, right, the house alarm. We've been having issues with it for ages - it randomly decides to go off FOR NO REASON. Just... starts howling. Gets temperamental. Decides it wants to scream. You're sleeping, and then you're choking with shock because the alarm decided no, motherfucker, you wake NOW.

Cue us running around trying to shut the damn thing off.

Anyway, last week the people who installed it for us came back to fix it, and after a good few hours they were done, and they left. And we've had a long time without problems. Until yesterday. Yesterday the alarm decided that it was done smoking weed and chilling out, and was ready to move onto the hard stuff. And so yesterday the drama began again, this time randomly engaging the fire alarm, too. Full on domestic.

Today The Dad worked out why.

The alarm has now decided that we are BANNED from entering the guest room. Every time you walk in, the sensor catches you, and the alarm throws a hissyfit. No, really. I NO CAN HAS THE SPARE ROOM. The Dad made me walk in and out of the room a handful of times to prove the theory to The Mother. Which isn't such a big deal because some days we even forget that it's there. But the ironing board and the laundry is in there, so at some point we're going to have to retrieve that, and today The Mother did a spectacular save whereby she crept in to the room and yanked her uniform off the bed before collapsing backwards into the hallway. No alarm, yay.

But seriously. This is insane.

In other news, I signed up for Yuletide which I suspect I'll regret sooner or later, lols. And now I'm going to watch some Homicide before I go to sleep.
