Unless you're
hestia8 or
twincy, your lyric fics have been written, huzzah! (
hestia8: I was so close to finishing yours, but then I got waylaid by saris. Post-wedding, I hope.) (
twincy, yeah, I just plain fail at yours. Awesome lyric! But it's not gelling with anything yet? Sadface.)
I also posted Numb3rs icons for the first time in forever. It's also probably the last time in forever, unless the next caps I make are better. Or the lighting improves. Or I spontaneously care again (which is possible. See: NCIS).
In conclusion: today I fandomed.

I did not make more muffins, even though I have the ingredients. Am tempted to get up early and do that, but won't have the time. We just finished putting together all of our clothes for Wedding Shenans Part II (I know, I change the name every time I talk about it) and tomorrow morning we'll be off by 10am. Apparently. Still, am tempted to get up, throw my day-to-days in a bag, and then make muffins like a mofo. (Note to self: set the alarm.)
Naturally, I'm now freaking out about said wedding shenans, especially the part that I was originally excited about. Self, why so ornery?

Today was great though. I wrote a lot of crazy emails in the morning, did some other stuff that I can't remember, then headed into D after lunch to buy something for cousin-bride-to-be's 'wedding box' which is basically a bunch of silly gifts. I bought a momiji doll (specifically this one; apparently people collect them, what?*) which made me laugh because (a) ridonkulous! and (b) momiji sounds funny if you're Indian/have any concept of how honorific forms work in Hindi-based languages.
*) This is not to say that I don't understand the concept of collecting, it's just that I've never heard of these dolls before. Some of them are crazy-looking, and I'm also having ethical issues. On the other hand: they keep secrets in their unmentionables which made the doll perfect for the wedding box.
Anyway, I saw those; decided to check the local nick-nacks store; wandered around said store and found nothing; went back to the original store to find it was closed; had lunch in this wonderful cafe; bought the doll and went home to pursue fannish endeavours. Phew.

Phone got topped up with credit so I should have some access to the net whilst I'm away. Or, you know, to Twitter.
