So, I woke up today and I was all, MUFFINS YES YES, right up until the point where I realised that there still weren't eggs in the house, so naturally I ended up walking into D to get some from Our Store where, naturally, The Dad made me stand behind the till for 15 minutes whilst he sorted out some paperwork and then handed me some errands to do. So. I escaped with eggs and ended up in the bank for A Long Time. Made it home, had to change (didn't realise that today would require all-over antiperspirant but I really should have learned by now) and then baked, huzzah!

I fucked up the measurements for the first batch. It was all in cups! And I only have two measure spoons - 1/3 cup and 1 tbsp. Yeeeeaaaah. Anyway, they look marvellous but they taste really, really awful. Yeuch.

The second batch was done using the recipe from plumpeffect and they came out beautifully. Really light and fluffy, and totally delicious. TRIUMPH!

That was all at lunch time. Thereafter I watched this week's Weeds (fairly lame on the lolarities, but watchable in other ways) and The Middleman, the latter of which made me (a) laugh, (b) anxious for Noser (whom I ADORE) and (c) sigh at the sinking of ships. Which is not to say that it doesn't continue to be both adorable and delightful!

Last night The Flatmate emailed, texted and basically badgered until I responded, lols. Eventually she called and we spent a couple of hours updating one another on the sum total of NOTHING going on in both our lives, which reminded me that I hadn't told anybody here: a plant fell on me the other day. I was just idly walking down the street and it FELL ON ME. What?

Anyway, then I made more Numb3rs icons and was annoyed at myself for having made really awful caps.

Some time before tomorrow evening I have to pack my saris and associated accessories. Pfft, whatev. I'm especially irritated at our premature date of departure now that I've realised that We Are Scientists are playing in P tomorrow. SIGH.
