All in all, whilst that was gut-wrenching, I enjoyed it. I don't know. I feel like after Numb3rs pulled that stunt with Colby last year, I can get to grips with a show doing that to a character. And I love Zack, so much, and this sucks in terms of how much we love him, but at the same time: gutsy. So, so gutsy as a move.

edit: this is not to say that I am not TRAGICALLY WOUNDED by this!!! PAINFUL. I can see why a lot of people are feeling Rage Against The Man PTB. But I can live with it. Because it's a stronger idea than, say, S3-S4 Numb3rs where, ohnoes, Colby is magically OKAY and NOT a spy or whatever. (Guys. That's just WEAK.)

As soon as I realised that they were gunning for it to be one of the actual team... oh my. Like, it became totally plausible that it was Hodgins! And I thought, well, NO, because those guys love each other! And then Zack sort of fudged things up BECAUSE of his bond with Hodgins!

I figure this is also supposed to be PTSD re: the Iraq stuff, but a lot of that got cut because of the strike which is a shame.

YES! And all her sympathy! (Which was so... maybe she was softened because it was Zack? Or maybe, you know, her dad's case just finished? So she's less abrasive/black&white about things. OH GOD. Between her and Cam!...!!!)
