I'm referring to times when you need to clean yourself, not when you take a bath to relax.

Date: 2008-05-07 06:14 pm (UTC)Can I just add that for some reason, I have to take a shower in the morning even if I've had one in the evening because I feel yucky otherwise. Not that it matters, but I'm in a chatty mood. Hi!

Date: 2008-05-07 06:18 pm (UTC)Chat away! I'm sat here contemplating alcohol and wondering why there's no-one to talk to! Lols. Hey, I'm glad the study session was productive.

Date: 2008-05-07 06:24 pm (UTC)...Why are you contemplating alcohol? ...Asks a girl who's eating cinnamon buns and drinking beer.
Hahaa, I'm all excited because The Roots is coming to Finland on my birthday weekend, and I might actually be able to go see them. Yayness galore!

Date: 2008-05-07 06:30 pm (UTC)Haha, it's not a downer or anything - I had some lambrini left from last night and I need the fridge space for milk. So I've poured myself a glass and ditched the bottle. Buns and beers? Niiiiice!
!!! AWESOME. I recently missed out on a chance to see Vienna Teng live. Girl. I NEEDS TO GET REAL ALREADY. I've never been to a gig of someone I know. NEVER. Sigh.
But if The Roots play over your birthday YOU SHOULD GO. (lols, remember when you went to see Franz a couple of years ago? I was so vicariously excited, lols.)

Date: 2008-05-07 06:40 pm (UTC)Buns and beer is a golden combination, it seems. Lambrini? Never heard of that, what is it?
It's so annoying not being able to see the bands/artists that you like. It's my luck that they always either break up, stop touring, or die before I get to see them, so I try to see my favs whenever they come to within a reasonable distance from me. Which isn't even nearly always possible but oh well, girl's gotta try. Why, oh why do I mostly like foreign bands? My taste in music sucks that way.
IT'S LIKE DESTINED OR SUMTHING. And I could even ask my 'rents to pay for it as a present. Haa, ev0l plan. (And I never even posted the pictures like I promised! Bad me, bad.)

Date: 2008-05-07 06:48 pm (UTC)Lambrini. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambrini) Which makes it sound exactly as naff as it is, but I like it. lols. It's the only alcoholic drink that I actually like the taste of. Which is bad because I tend to drink it quite quickly. Or. I used to. Then I stopped drinking alcohol other than a sip. Until yesterday. After the bottle's finished, though, I'll go back to not really drinking. It's just post-dissertation yaying.
Yeah, it's a pain. The bands tour the UK quite a lot, and they come to the unis but I either don't have the money or the time. I am going to see a production of A Streetcar Named Desire though. So I guess I make up for the cool factor by being a 60-year-old play-goer. lols.
That is an excellent plans! Or pants, as I originally typed. Let's face it - pants are excellent, too.

Date: 2008-05-07 06:59 pm (UTC)Ooh, that sounds wonderful! Is it some uni production or something a bit more professional? I recently went to see the "uni" theatre's production of a play by Brecht, and it was marvelous. And I don't usually even like theatre.
Plans, pants, they're all fabulous. ...I could add something stupid here, but I won't. Because it's stupid.

Date: 2008-05-07 07:03 pm (UTC)Ooh, which Brecht? It's a professional gig in the uni theatre hall. So. lols. We do go to the local theatre on student nights. Although most recently we went to see a comedy double act, lols.
Plans wearing pants would be even better!

Date: 2008-05-07 07:10 pm (UTC)I don't know what it's called in English. ...Joanne of The Slaughter Houses, maybe? I'm not sure. It was a really interesting, vibrant version. They performed every scene in a different theatrical genre. There was for instance PowerPoint, role switching, Barbie play, and even a nature documentary รก la David Attenborough! Metatextuality! It was fantastic.
Heh. True, true, my friend.

Date: 2008-05-07 07:16 pm (UTC)Sounds intriguing! Brecht is someone you can do that with. (I find him craaazy.)
So, clarify your timetable for me because I is a dunce: your last exam is on ____? You're spending summer in Oulu? You are/not taking a summer class?

Date: 2008-05-07 07:29 pm (UTC)I've never seen his plays before, only heard of him. There was one scene that was done in the classic "Brechtian style"; even though it was interesting in that amount of time, I can easily imagine how two hours of that would be mind numbing. Ironically, though, I found this production to be very approachable and easy to emphatize with.
I have my last exam, theoretically, tomorrow at six. I say theoretically because I still have a chance to better my grade same time next week should this fail. Small assignment due on Friday. I'm staying here for the summer, trying to find a job or, failing that, studying. Or both, actually, except that I wouldn't be studying as much if I get a job.

Date: 2008-05-07 10:40 pm (UTC)Re: your poll, I used to shower in the evening, when I lived on my parents farm to get the farm/work smell off before going to bed. Moving to university I started showering in the morning instead which does help very much with the waking up.
