{ I got soul but I'm not a soldier. }
Mar. 30th, 2008 10:53 amSo, we spent hours in Wembley yesterday, but I came away with two of the three saris I need for the weddings this summer. I was looking for reds but in the end I bought an orange one (why???) with bead work and a black one with gold print. The second one I'll be wearing to both receptions. Well. That's the plan, anyway.
We got there way too early - nowhere is open before 11am - so we met up with The Mother's youngest sister and went to get some tea. The Mother's eldest sister arrived about an hour later. We spent about two hours in the first store. Aie. The rest of the day was spent between stores where the assistants pull out sari after sari, then some of them help you half-dress so you can see what the sari will look like. What a flipping nightmare.
We left at four, then visited The Dad's sister for a while; left there at 6, picked up take-out when we got home, and I went to sleep around 10pm. Slept through until 9am; bliss!

My plans today feature Lost and poetry. Good times, yo. Hopefully I'll be able to take photos of the saris I bought.
