So, this morning the postie brought me a package that I have been eagerly awaiting for about a week now. It was from [livejournal.com profile] snowpenguin545 and I was VERY FRUSTRATED by the packaging which, for a good five minutes, consistently thwarted my attempts to get to contents of said package.

IT WAS SO WORTH IT. This is what was inside:

!!! ISN'T THAT AWESOME? I'm so full of glee, it's insane.

penguin!

So, since I've been back, I've only really moved these boxes to get books out to sell. This is where my foe, The Arachnid, has likely set up residence. EW.

Haha, my suitcases and new clothes. Also: the suitcase also doubles up as a temporary shelf upon which to rest DVDs and the such. HUZZAH! This is how I've been living since June. Uh. Oops?

Finally, the following is one of my favourite foods ever. It's called puri (and can be a little oily but is mostly just scrumptious. Light the day they're made, yet still yummy a day later when cold and deflated. (I actually prefer them that way?) Anyway. Yum.

Your penguin made me giggle, which in turn made my mother look up and exclaim "What a cute penguin!" So! We approve.

The food looks lovely. What's inside?

Hee, [livejournal.com profile] snowpenguin545 MADE IT. Which is too awesome for words, frankly. (You're at your rents', what?)

Nope, nothing! When freshly cooked, they're round and then they deflate after they've cooled down. Which is when you can roll them up and, if you're like my family, dunk them in masala tea. ! That photo is from ages a go but I wanted to share.

WOWZ. (Uh, yes. It's convenient and cozy and I randomly don't feel like going home, so I keep postponing leaving.)

Oh, that sounds good. Which reminds me: brownie recipe. I should make a note of that somewhere so I don't forget.

The food looks so delicious. I like the "Really Tasty Clear Honey" pot next to it. That's quite the claim.

And I want a penguin as cool as that. It's brilliant!

Hello!

Yes, they are. If there was a *real* way to share them, I completely would. Alas, I don't even know the recipe. Aie.

(Penguin = hand made by friend. !)

Ha, it's the Spar own brand (um, The Dad owns a Spar store). There are others that say things like "totally scrumptious jam" &c. &c.

Disclaimer: I don't think honey goes all that well with puri. Although it's good for your throat if you put it in tea.

I love it! [livejournal.com profile] snowpenguin545 MADE IT. How awesome is that?

I see your Band of Brothers icon and... okay, this poker metaphor fails but please, have some Damian Lewis.

Haha, sorry about the packaging. I didn't want it getting all torn up or the post office to be all like "Uhm, this is not SAFE to mail, it's not PERFECTLY sealed. Thank you, come again." Also, tape is just fun.

eeeee! I'm so happy you like it. Now you get to name it and love it and make it send letters to baby!penguin.
