So, all things considered, The Fairy's thing was a good night. I saw a couple of people I haven't seen in some time, and then we went to the bar in our local hotel and saw a couple of other people I haven't seen in some time. Good conversation, good food. So, all in all, a good time.

When I got home, I was trying to minimalise the effects the red wine would have on me this morning so I decided to stay up for a little while longer, eat some toast et cetera. Except The Mother and I ended up watching Without A Trace, a show that I haven't seen since secondary school. This could easily have been a horrible experience but the entire episode was from the perspective of the parents of the missing person. Two things: firstly, this meant that I didn't have to watch the annoying cast (although Viv looks AMAZING as per always, and I sort of miss her a lot. Is there any Viv-centric fanfiction that people know anything about?); secondly, the parents were played by the FABULOUS Matt Craven and Laurie Metcalf (both of whom sometime thereafter starred in Raines, eee!) ANYWAY. So. That was oddly watchable and made me miss the show, even though when Poppy Montgomery showed up on screen, I still wanted to throw things at her.

I think this post accurately conveys how fucked up I am socially, and that I clearly need to GET A LIFE.

I have an odd love for Without A Trace. I barely ever watch it but when I do I tend to enjoy it.

I watched the first two seasons religiously and then we had a CATASTROPHIC break-up, and I haven't really seen it since.
