I'm glutton for punishment, obviously, because I haven't touched my inbox for a couple of days and now it is FULL, FULL of correspondence that I will basically spend all of tomorrow dealing with. I haven't even read my flist in a couple of days, so if there's anything important you'd like me to see, link it here, please?

TORI AMOS. !!!

So, I was listening to Tori's newest album and feeling a bit low because I wasn't really connecting to the music (it happens that way when you decide to listen to an album instead of just letting it play when it wants to). Anyway, I realised, my two favourite Tori albums are still on the home PC, not my laptop. So I went and retrieved them and inevitably, I'm having a Tori renaissance. In particular Scarlet's Walk and Tales of a Librarian. The best part of this renaissance is that I now like songs which I didn't previously, so the whole experience is made of JOY and HAPPY and GOOD THINGS. I'm taking this as a form of karmic tallying-up for various reasons.

But, DAMN. A Sorta Fairytale still has one of the best narratives ever. It's like the other half to Griffin's Florida, and this is one of those rare occasions where I regret my fear of learning to drive because all I can see in my mind's eye is a long unfettered road. Damn.

I actually understand a lot more Spanish than I should which is both strange and amusing. /random

Did any Brit-flisters see that Mediumesque show on BBC1 last night? The one with the ex-con who has visions? I think it was called Empathy and the dialogue/delivery was some of the worst I have ever seen (barring, possibly, Hex) but that aside, it was actually a really good watch. I think one of the actors was in season 1 of Spooks?

The Mother and I then stayed up to midnight watching The Closer because it's something she likes and thinks I might. Her description of Sedgwick's character? "Oh, she's that one who acts like she's batty!" Heh. I thought it was a good watch, actually. Wish it was on a little earlier, but that's something else to dig my teeth into?

Is anyone else watching Saving Grace (spoilers if you follow that link) with Holly Hunter? Does anybody else agree that whilst on face it seems ridiculous, it's actually turned out to be REALLY, REALLY GOOD? Please, tell me someone else thinks so.
