So, it occurs to me that there are such things in the world as wishlists. Dear Flist: where are yours, and how does one access them? Let me know, pluz?

Last night, for whatever reason, I decided that I was going to spend the evening watching the two Underworld films. I did. They were both fairly gory, and it took me a while to adjust from the sef-contained plot of the first film to the saga-like nature of the second. All in all, not the worst movies I've ever seen, which is surprising because I was expecting the second one to suck. I think the first one was okay, too. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME? No, seriously.

Anyway, I also finally got all the way through American Beauty which (a) is wonderfully shot and (b) is just plain wonderful. Have I mentioned that I love Chris Cooper? Because I do. And Mendes went from working on this to Jarhead which is another one that I love. Okay, so it's impact is probably half that of AB's, but Jarhead is a good watch.

Just waiting for Army Wives (look, okay, I know. But it's actually pretty involving?) and Big Love. And the post people, should they ever decide to bring me my stuff.

I really, really, really need to get my ass off the ground re: ficathon entries. My problem is two-fold. One, I'm not overly motivated and two, I keep changing my mind as to what I want to write about. So. I figure if I just sit down with a pad of paper, I can be done pretty quickly but apparently writing for a ficathon is a lot like writing an end-unit assignment: I procrastinate all the damn time.

Oh, you will LOVE the latest one. It was SO GOOD.

That's a really hard question! I mean, Margene is so adorable, and Nicki is devious... but, I probably love Barb the most. I can't decide if she's going to flake and make a run for it, or totally, scarily step up and be a full-on matriarch. (Other people I love: Sarah, Bill's mother, crazy-ass Wanda, Nicki's mother.)

I know, it's hard to choose between all three.

But I have to agree the one I love the most is Barb also. But then again Jeanne Tripplehorn is awesome in everything she does and she really makes this character shine. Margie is so adorable (I absolutely adore Ginnifer Goodwin), and of course Nicki, I never know whether I love her or hate her. Sometimes she can be so genuine and other times like you said so devious, ok I think I love her, lol! (Chloe Sevigny rocks, btw!)

Other fave characters would be Ben, Sarah, Bill's brother (what's his name again?, damn it, I always forget!), and who can forget Wanda, oh crazy crazy Wanda! Don't you just love that sometimes you think she's totally out of it when really she's more in tune than everybody else? Love her!

One of the things I love most about the show is that there are no one dimensional characters. Because of the controversial topic they could've made the characters very one-sided & boring. But every single character has depth, and just layers & layers of dysfunctional goodness. ;)

As you can see I love this show, and I could talk about it forever, especially since I don't have anyone to talk about it with, lol. :p

Jeanne Tripplehorn is magnificent; all three of the main actresses are.

I loved that scene where Wanda was all, "Your mother was going to kill Alby so I'm going to give you this gun." LOL.

It's such a round show, by which I mean, plot-full, with rounded characters.

That's not to say I'm not into shallow things. I mean, I'm watching Army Wives, lol.
