The week has been spent reading and selling books as well as watching all of Dead Like Me. Not to mention a lot of Rome which I'll get back to now that there's no more DLM to distract me, unless I get wrapped up in rewatching season 1 of Big Love. Awesome, awesome show, though. Very funny, sometimes touching. I enjoyed the cameos, too: Jewel Staite as a goth girl, AJ Cook as a poorly-cast college student, Eric McCormack as a scary mofo. Mandy Patinkin was perfect as Rube and though I missed Betty, Daisy grew on me. Much, much love for Mason. Show seriously made me laugh out loud. I wish there were more than two seasons.

As for reading, I finished A Grain of Wheat, The Amber Spyglass, A Short History of Myth and The Penelopiad. Am now onto The Helmet of Horror by Victor Pelevin and I've picked up some Doris Lessing from the library. Also, that book I was trying to find? The one that I thought was called The Lighthouse? Was actually called Amaryllis Night and Day. Picked that one up, too, as well as a basic overview of Greek myth. It's a kids' book, unfortunately, but that all our piddly little library had in stock. Beggars can't be choosers.

Finally - FINALLY - bought two new pairs of jeans this morning. A guy should be calling thsi evening to offer me a job. It's just packing up things in a house, boxing them up. His company is a clean up something-something. I don't know. It's just the one gig. I may even see one of my old school mates, so.
Related to that: finally replied to SK's email, and then received another one. Not replying just yet. On top of that, I have a hundred comments and whatever to reply to, too, but I'm being eljay/internet-lite right now. Going to get back to reading. And try to get rid of this damn headache, too.
