People who enjoy the Harry Potter series really nee to stop telling me they didn't enjoy Pullman's His Dark Materials because I begin to think badly of them. I can't help it. It's a deep-seeded reaction.

I am still in the pit of hell known as block and I still want to kill lots of people. OK, kill is obviously hyperbolic, but I don't want to have to see these people. More than that, I have absolutely no yen to discuss my dissertation topic with them.

In other school news, I have 10 days to write a 4,000 word essay. Oh, and research it. Blah, blah, blah. Blah, blah-blah, blaaaah.

Watched Raines, enjoyed it; was disappointed to find that the next episode has not been scheduled to air any time soon. Watched Doctor Who: am increasingly irritated by Martha and Ten's relationship. Read more of the introduction to The Iliad. Did something stupid. Watched The Return of 'Allo 'Allo with T and The Flatmate. Joyous, joyous, every one.
