A particularly recurrent nightmare last night, by which I mean every time I fell back asleep, it started up again. For the most part it was mundane - I was trying desperately to get out of my gran's place and I kept missing the appropriate bus. For whatever reason, this was causing me a lot of anxiety. It could be because in the final installment of this dream - which must have been around 6am because I woke with one hell of a shudder, couldn't clear my eyes and couldn't hear properly, so I thought the distant drone of my sister's radio was actually the sound of many insects buzzing around - a swarm of LOCUSTS attacked, bursting through the windows, breaking the glass and covering EVERYTHING. I woke up in a hell of a panic. Like I said, I couldn't clear my eyes: when I opened them I was hallucinating and the damn things were in my room; when I closed them, they were everywhere. I am considerably UNIMPRESSED. And all because my damn temperature is up. I'd blame it on the usual reasons but I can't because that doesn't last this long. I WANT SOME SLEEP ALREADY.

This week's The Black Donnellys was again on the weak side which was a shame. In other fannish news, I'm finally working my way through the S3 NCIS episodes that I skipped (hi, [livejournal.com profile] twincy!) and making icons of Ros (Spooks) and NCIS.

My Uncle and Aunt are having work done on their house so the Baby Cousin has been at ours today. She was ill yesterday so she went home early but she'll be here all day today. So far we've folded the clothes, watched a French-made penguin cartoon clip, watched Shrek 2 and had lunch. She's with The Mother at the moment. I'm finally checking my emails. She'll be here for the rest of the afternoon. If the mist would just clear already (come on, it's 1pm) I can take her out. But not unless it clears.

We also took a couple of crazy pictures earlier. May or may not post those. Need to remember to update [livejournal.com profile] duck_cheer. Which she loves, incidentally. "What's that?" "Duckie!" "And that?" "DUCKIE!" "And--" "Duckie-duckie-duckie-DUCKIE!"

:C nightmare.

But yay, NCIS & icons! I've just watched Deception, and it's one of my favourite episodes yet. "That's a nice suit. Didn't get married again, did ya?" They are all SO CUTE, omg.

I watched the first two episodes of TBD, but then I just kinda lost interest in it. It was going to be my "monday show" because I didn't have anything else to watch, but then The Riches came on and I love it so much :)

I don't normally make a fuss about hallucinating things because you get used to it but I was in a tiz for a full five to ten minutes because I was trying to get myself to wake the hell up already. Ugh.

Not there yet. Have spent the past two days babysitting. This afternoon we went on an adventure before we watched Chicken Run. I've left her with The Mother so that I can do a journal/inbox sweep.

The first two episodes were awesome, though! It's slowed down a tad since then.

I saw the first two episodes of Riches and whilst I'll always love both Izzard and Driver, I didn't think that much of the show, unfortunately. That said, TBD is hitting a middleground. Which = :(
