Today's 400 words for the essay almost killed me and think the concluding 600 words are going to be murder tomorrow. I think tomorrow I'll do what I used to do in secondary school and re-write the whole draft, piecing it together and work out what I haven't written yet. Then I can write the last few hundred words.

...and shit, I just realised that I haven't done the reading for On Reading because the lecture was cancelled today. But the seminar is still on tomorrow! Damn. OK, will have to do that when I get back tonight.

I finished Uncle Tom's Cabin at long last and I'm into the final section of Native Son so I'm doing fairly well. On Monday I'll start two new books (should have finished Farewell, My Lovely by then) but for the rest of this week I won't start a new one because (a) I need the extra time tomorrow and Friday to finish the children's lit. essay and (b) I want a free(r) weekend. Next week I have to be on the ball and get sorted with my On Reading critical analysis piece. Which is why I need to have done the primary reading for tomorrow's class because I might need to study one of those texts. I hope the tutor doesn't want extensive secondary reading for this assignment. I'd cry.

Realised that today is Wednesday and that means it's indie movie night at the SU. So am leaving in twenty minutes to go and see Pan's Labyrinth. On my bill, unfortunately because T and N are going to the university theatre to see something with one of N's friends, and I don't think The Flatmate is at all interested. (I invited her but she's still in her jimmies; also, she's just gone downstairs to eat. I take this to mean I'm going alone.) I can't wait, though, because it looks beautiful and I could do with a couple of hours off this week. I'm only going to come back and do my reading for class.

I now have: 3 Stargates, 2 Battlestar Galacticas, last week's Criminal Minds, this week's Prison Break (UK 'this week'), NCIS and The Unit and the latest Studio 60 to watch. This year I have ditched Veronica Mars and Supernatural (although I'll pick up the former over Easter break and tune into the latter for the Tricia Helfer and Emmanuelle Vaugier episodes). I only watch L&O (& spawn) at home and even that is sporadic. SIGH.

No, I don't really care. Once I'm done with this essay, I'm totally spending all weekend chilling out. (Lenny Henry! Omid Djalili! Did I mention this yet? !!!)

Oh Numb3rs meta; you have flown from the recesses of my mind. :(

Also: Mil Besos is really long but isn't really.

Also, also: I should really brush my hair and get ready to go.

edit: Person who disappeared from my life and apparently the lives of everyone I know has returned. This is good because it means said person is not dead. This is bad because now am uncertain whether or not to make overtures of friendship or not. Gah.

You have an entire two months for Veronica Mars catchup. *nods emphatically* tonight's the last ep for two months. Colour me wholly unimpressed!

Heh. I have like 8 episodes to catch up on? That's plenty of time. Easter last year I watched the firsttwo series and caught up with the air time. So.

Yeah. lately the films they've been showing haven't been worth going to but the place was packed last night for PL. They had to close the doors! They're re-screening at the weekend, lol.

I've given up with VM and BSG for now, too. Too time consuming when I'm not wholly into the story. I'm burning them to disc so that I can watch them later. I just don't have the time!

Hee, me too! Hope you have a lovely one, too :)
