I'm so screwed. I managed to sort out dates and times for meeting the research skills group but I won't be able to make the tutor meeting because I have an actual class at that time. Fabulous. Also, we're supposed to be considering dissertation topics for next year. Considering that I've recently come to the conclusion that I'm studying my topic at the wrong university, I'm feeling particularly crappy right now. Other than that, I have Wind in the Willows and The Aspern Papers to read this weekend.

Criminal Minds was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed it but for that last but of Character Development that I really did not need to see. Naturally, I'm talking about the drugs.

Random: the most startling aspect of James Van Der Beek is still the size of his forehead. Just saying.

I always love any episode that requires Reid having to prove how smart he is because we always get behavioural cues and clues. That whole, I choose Aaron Hotchner thing was so fucking awesome and like everyone else, I knew he wasn't being literal. I love that kind of stuff, and Reid-genius-fuelled episodes always have it. See the S1 finale. LOVE it when people have to piece things together. That's what's so interesting.

I just don't want them to fuck this all up by pulling an Elle on this Character Development Ploy because they sucked at that and this would suck, too.

The first thing I'd like to mention is how little sense some of this week's episode made in relation to last week's, and by that I mean Camille, wtf? That said, I loved STEPHEN FUCKING FRY and David Boreanaz playing off one another (and how awesome would it be to be DB doing this episode? I mean, seriously).

Other than that, I liked Sully, I loved Brennan and I loved how much of a woman Brennan is. I don't mean in the sense of, 'Oh, Tempe's such a girl,' I mean it in the sense that she is smart, she is in control, she is fully aware of her sexuality and she sees nothing in talking to men or to women on the level. When the series started, she was such a Mary Sue, but she's grown on me so much since then that she's easily my favourite female character on the show.

Oh, speaking of Bones - [livejournal.com profile] powerof3, I haven't forgotten! I'm collecting and playing with caps and generally being frustrated by my own efforts. But I haven't forgotten, so yay. !

The plan tonight is to do a bit of reading and then to chill out. I have Spooks to watch. I have an idea for a fic that is canon-reliant so I consider this research, naturally.

Oh, I called that house that I need to go and see, and they still weren't in, so I'll have to go tomorrow instead. This actually works in my favour because it means I can take The Flatmate with me and I won't be on my bill, huzzah!
