Eymeric François' Spring/Summer 07 Couture collection has saris in it! Some of those are scary (but it's cuture, so, come on) but some of them are wonderful. If you're initimidated by the ensemble, try looking at the individual pieces.

In other news, I'm full into my pre-exam mode. I'm alternately flipping out and making zen, I'm reviewing the essay plan I'm taking in with my texts, I'm collecting pens and making sculpturs from them. One the one hand, haven't done a timed essay in a long, long time. On the other, this will all be over by 4.30pm, which is exactly the reason why I prefer exams over essays and coursework.

OK, more freaking out tomorrow.

Give me one of my own stories, and a timestamp sometime in the future after the end of the story, or sometime in the past before the story started, and I'll write you a hundred words about what happened then, whether it's five minutes before the story started or ten years in the future.

eek, SARIS! My only problem...I think there's too much layering. I could give a lot better examples of saris. *g*

Yikes...I meant, the saris aren't formfitting enough.

...she's not wearing it as a sari, though.

Ooh, prettiness. For some reason, I especially like this one. Even though it's not colourful, there's something about the shape that pleases me. And I cannot stop staring at the hips/waist in this one. (Also, could this mean that the oh, so narrow trousers are going out of style again? Because yo, I wouldn't mind. At all.)

Heh, this is one of those crazy moments of twinnage that I always figured would be anti-twinnage and isn't. I really liked that first one that you picked out, too. And the second one: ditto for why I kept going back to it.

Well, it's couture and that's always hit and miss.Even if it is infuencing runways, it's going to take at least a year to fall through to the high street. I mean, skinny jeans, for whatever reason, are really in right now, and that habit of putting leggings on under everything is really heavy on the catwalks right now. (I really, really love having runway comms on my flist. I just spend hours browsing the crazy.) /vague-authority.

Dude. You're right. My fault...but they are pretty though.

Heh. Anti-anti-twinnage, yay!

Yeah, I know it'll take a while before (elements from) couture 'hits the streets' but I'm hoping that this is a sign. Really, really, really hoping. (Thank goodness I'm not the kind of person who dutifully follows every whim of fashion. I'd have commited suicide by now.)

Skinny jeans are a source of fascination for me because they don't suit everyone, and because they bunch horribly at the ankles. They also make boys look strangely feminine.

Last week was Paris Fashion week. The shows have ranged from pretty and sensible to 'Oh, wow - is that an elephant?!' Good times. !
