What a way to start off. The rain basically nullified any protective worth my duffel or my backpack had, so I was hanging up clothes to dry them last night. This morning I found out that water had seeped into my backpack. The damage is surprisingly minimal but I am still pissed as all hell. My address book and some of my notes have suffered water damage. Thankfully, everything else in the backpack was packed in plastic for whatever reason, so other issues were avoided. The muscles in my arms and my back are all DEAD from the crap I was lugging around yesterday.

Will be reading half of Coetzee and one third of Faulkner today. Have found that the cover of my copy of Ulysses has ripped at the binding in the bottom left-hand corner.

HOWEVER! Frigidaire lives, TW and T are here (T, a whole day before I was expecting her, yay!), The Flatmate will be here soon, and K will be here tonight. (Don't know about N yet). So, am not lonesome anymore, which makes me feel better. But I really have to read now.
