Nov. 2nd, 2006 11:56 pmNCIS wasn't as good as usual bar Abby's costume (&hearts) and Gibbs' smile at the end (*dies*). CSI: NY managed to kill me slowly and painfully, even though it was a bog standard episode for the most part. I think it's because it had Sheldon and Mac at odds, and yet this wonderful resolution between them, the asking for forgiveness without words, and this general acceptance of wrong on both parts. Also, both Claire Forlani and Emmanuelle Vaugier were present; Forlani's character is perhaps a little too demure, and Vaugier's has little to do although her arrest scene was gorgeous. (No, seriously, check out the composition of that scene, especially where Vaugier stands, and the post-production colouring of the scene so that her shirt is this beautiful red.) A sore lack of Stella, and more than that, a lack of Stella and Mac interacting. I would have liked ot have seen a tag scene wherein Mac tells Stella what is going on. People talk, there should have been sound echoing through those labs.
Flack is a delight, eating the cake, btw. Also, random: is Anna Belknap pregnant? I ask because her clothing is making it difficult to tell, her lower half is generally shadowed, or she's put behind things. If she is, damn. I thought they were doing an awesome job hiding Diane Farr's baby belly. If she's not - she needs better screen exposure, and the wardrobe depatment needs to be nicer to her. Although I have noticed Oz Scott, the director, has a tendency to use obstructions within his shots so it could just be him.
I have screencaps, post at the bottom of this post. Some other day.
The Unit wasn't as good as usual either except for two really, really awesome things: one, Max Martini speaking fucking Italian, and two, that closing scene.
OK, cutting this short so I can sit in T's room. Poor thing has an essay deadline tomorrow (oh man, don't we all?) so I'm going to sit with her to motivate her. It will be good for me, too: reading. !
