{ in other news... }
Jul. 3rd, 2006 04:44 pmSo, I just watched this clip of Rory Cochrane on Dinner for Five or whatever the hell that's called, and he was there with Vince Vaughn and Brian Cox and whoever. It's a clip where Vince Vaughn starts hammering at Cochrane about how he grew up and who he was living with when he was in his late teens.
I like Vince Vaughn, and I find him to be funny but I felt awful for Cochrane because he quite obviously didn't want to talk about it and Vaughn was being a dick. I don't know. I was mildly amused and mildly upset at what I was watching.
In other news, I watched the pilot for The Pretender over lunch. Hee. Andrea Parker is so much love. I love it when she's going down the fire escape and taking an errant drag of her ever-present cigarette and she works out there was no smoke. I also love the beginning when she's all "I'm dangerous, too." It was just funny. It amuses me to learn that she ditched JAG for this.

Date: 2006-07-03 06:49 pm (UTC)I think the show's a lot of fun; reminds me of the short-lived The Fugitive based on the movie of the same name.

Date: 2006-07-03 07:51 pm (UTC)The 1960's version was made (obviously) in the 60's, which does show as I recall in "special effects" and lighting (e.g. night-time isn't filmed in darkness) but the stories were fairly good. I certainly enjoyed it, but then I like old television shows. It reminded me in some ways of The Saint with Roger Moore, if that tells you anything. If you like old school telly, I think you would enjoy it.
