{ DO NOT SPOIL ME FOR SPOOKS 410 [finale] ! }

So today I watched Spooks 406-408 and because I watched 409 an age ago when tigertrapped sent me the episodes (that one was on disk), I now only have the finale to watch. Cut for spoilers because I am super-conscientious about such stuff.

I REALLY DO NOT GET WHY I HAVE COMPLETELY FALLEN FOR FIONA CARTER NOW THAT SHE IS DEAD WTF. Seriously. Apart from the amusing not-so-hidden pregnancy shenanigans (and they weren't even trying!) she got super-intense and amazing in her final episode. Then there was Harry and Juliet's Russian rebellion, Zaf's mini-crisis of faith and Malcolm's "This is the worst day of my life!" God, I love our geeks. This season is so fucking good, I don't understand any of the negative crit. at all. There's, like, actual superspying wtf. Ruth and Harry are completely eye-fucking, almost continually. Carter explains WHY he's not Tom Quinn (because the service is his life and he would be dead without it; well bloody done for once). The new girl's appearance, although confusing and out-of-sync with timing is completely natural and other than that temporal fuck-up actually makes complete sense. AND WES. And Fiona's parents actually call her Fiona, what? (God, how much do I adore that her name was originally Amelia? And then Amal?! SPOOKS WRITERS THOU ART CRACK and I completely love you for it!)

Tomorrow I'll rewatch 409 and then I'll watch 410. I cannot wait!

In related news, I want to do a marathon. Honestly, I don't care how tense the show gets. I want to sit down and watch every single episode from 101 to 410. In one go. I AM OBVIOUSLY CRAZED.

I think Season 4 is my favourite season, by far and away, and I feel guilty for saying that because OMGDannyZoeTom! But Adam rocks and I love Zaf and Harry is so cute and Ruth is Ruth and that means awesome. The only downside is Jo. *hates*

See, I don't get the fandom hate for Jo at all. I mean, yes, she's useless, but she's also brand new in a lot of ways and like, well, if they had her doing more experienced things people would complain because of how unrealistic it is. See? Fandom makes no sense.

Unless something happens on 410 to explain the hate...in which case, I don't want to know just yet.

You aren't crazy for wanting to do a marathon, says she who once decided to watch all five seasons of the West Wing that are out in Australia - (and the later half of season five hasn't even been shown here yet) at once.

I'm looking forward to series four of Spooks (apparently it gets to Australia later this year) because hey, I like Adam quite a bit.

Yeh, S5 hasn't been shown in the UK. Well, I lie. It's on one of the digi channels. Sigh. I think I left the fandom at a good time, though. I don't want to see it shredded.

You will love season 4. It is wonderful.

I ended up buying the DVD of season five after the station that was screening it in Australia cancelled it after the end of Season four and I must say I'd have to agree (why the powers that be fired Aaron Sorkin is beyond me) about the quality of the season but I love the characters and the actors so much I'm going to keep on watching (and apparently season seven is actually quite good).

Because she's useless. And STUPID. And the way she was brought in pretty much so that we ended up with the 2-guys-1-girl spy trio JUST LIKE WITH TOM, DANNY AND ZOE. God, show some imagination, writers. it's not even so much her as the writers that I hate (and the script editor who doesn't do their bloody job properly).

On the whole, though, ace series. I LOVED Juliet though I could never figure out why, and I'm saying R/H is canon after 409, and I love Zaf even though he's useless, and I'm going to stop now while I'm making a little bit of sense.
