Um. YES.

First off, this episode was fairly orgasmic in terms of direction. So much love. Secondly, the writing was fairly, tight, too. Not awesome in terms of plot, as ever, but all the in depth character stuff was right on the nose. Yet another request from this corner for Charlie to cut his fucking hair already and for more Larry because that would have made this episode an inch better but it was still so awesome. In terms of Teh Shallow, everyone was dressed damn sharp and the direction, especially with that continuous shot around the bullpen was amazing. OK, notes.

Excellent opening. Gorgeous direction, good narrative.

"Bullpit." Heh. I always forget that's what it's called.

Charlie's famous shaky nerves. Hugging the laptop? Maaaaan.

Poor wife of hospitalised man. Just saying, you're married to a man for years and he turns out to be the whack job who shoots up the mall. Scary, is all.

I like it when Charlie turns to math for answers; that's like where he hides; I love that's the way he deals with trauma. (Rocha empties pots of pens, afterall). I'll bet anything Don waits until the storm's past to freak out.

I love that larry is still talking (and all of his dialogue is spot on perfect) and Amita's face acutely displays how unsure she is as to its use. AND THEN SHE ACTUALLY CALLS HIM ON IT. I love that Navi Rawat's acting has matured enough to do that, to precursor her dialogue. In the first season there's no way she could have pulled that off. She's kind when she says it, though. I love Larry. I love my fandom. And then comes the sadness of departure, Charlie pushing them away.

I love that Megan knows all about this self-defence stuff. I love Colby's reaction to it even more, hee! This entire interaction between them is comfortably intimate, in a completely friendly way. Love, love, love. I really love seeing Megan and Colby working together, especially now that we're past the antagonism of 201/202.

OH GOD Colby's gun, ohnoes! I love Colby too much now so this is...actually a really smart move for the writers to make. It's a testament to Dylan Bruno that we've connected so much with Colby that our hurt for him is real. I love this show. Sense a theme yet? Argh, I hate the clamoured response to Colby, everyone trying to be supportive, not because it's OOC but because it isn't and because Colby hates it too. Empathy, yo. Aw, man, way to go back to work!

Don is bringing the math, heh. Awesome. Love it when Charlie involuntarily gets back in the game, and that he's still scared. Love that. Good episode so far. Don't fuck up the writing, now.

Aw, David is so cute. "Gets more work done at his desk than the entire FBI." What a great friend. I would want David to be my friend.

"Little did I suspect that it would take you 20 years to play with them." ROTFLOL! LOVE ALAN. Heh, the story about Charlie being bullied and having to wait for Don is so much love. And I love Alan. Did I mention that yet?

The car thing is smart. I love smart.

Don and Colby scene is fucking awesome, not to mention Colby being cleared, still not pleased, and Don rallying. I fucking LOVE that. Also, Colby's angsting - linked to his army days?

Aw, Amita. Jaipur! I've been there. It's Jay-pur, not Jye-pur; the former is actually easier to say, too. Cute if not odd and slightly nonsensical metaphor. Much love for this scene, especially with Alan coming in to clear things up. (Yay).

Amita in the FBI building; been a while. And poor Charlie. (Larry ist wo? Wo ist Larry?!) His response is so...Charlie-like. I wasn't fond of his response in Uncertainty Principle and I don't like this aspect of Charlie but I do like seeing it because it rings true to his character. That's real continuity. It's true to that initial presentation.

OMG IT'S CSI! One of the first episodes of CSI that I saw is the one when Cath and Nick use laser trajectory to work out a coffee shop shooting. (Although, wouldn't the crime people have done this already?? Whatever, cute scene).

It's been a while since I've commented but damn do the boys look good. Props to the wardrobe department. Especially for that shirt Don is wearing.

Megan's smile about Colby being cleared is beautiful. Ha! I called that psych. analysis. "When you were a kid, were you the worst at hide-and-go-seek, ever?" LOL.

Megan looks so pretty in this scene of minor exposition (I may love this show just for exposition). And the gun holsters make her sexy. It's all about female form, yo. Diane Farr is beautiful in this clumsy, supine way. I know that's contradictory but I just can't pin her down. LOVE.

BONNIE AND CLYDE OMG! LOVE THIS INTERROGATION SCENE!

I love that Charlie says a big word and everyone settles - like actually settles down on whatever available surface - to hear an explanation. That's some awesome co-ordinated cast work. (I've said it before, I'm certain, but David's "confused" face is the best ever).

--silence--
M: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Thank god Colby understood that metaphor because I wasn't getting it.

"I think that's your department." Hee. This case is so tight. LOVE!

Aw, cute A/V tech! /shallow (Hey, note how he looks like Archie! I love Archie. OK, this tech is now dubbed Archie 2.0).

GOD NO COOKIE, WRITERS. Wtf did anyof that math mean? If that was a joke it wasn't funny.

Don + gum = nervous habit. Can we assume our boy used to be a smoker? Or maybe it's just a character trait. Wahey for subtle continuity, though. Gah, Megan, leave the bomb-work to David. Bad writers. How do we have continuity on one front and then none on the other?!

"This is the FBI." So much love, Colby. I hope the number's not on speed dial. Honestly, the things you learn from NCIS, eh?

Don's "game" face is fucking hilarious. Love my boy.

Colby and David, yay! God, this episode was awesome. I want to hug Colby. I love David. I want David to be my friend, for real, yo.

"Where the hell did evidence response put the sugar?" Lol. Oh, Don is about to have a response? Maybe? "I'm cool until everything quietens down and then my head is like a bad neighbourhood to be in." I KNEW that would be his response. God, love. MWHAHAHAHA! "Sometimes you just bend spaghetti to watch it break." LOVE! These boys have avoidance issues like 10 year olds.

ALAN! God, where is Larry? MEGAN AND ALAN OMFG YES! LOL!

I love love love that the last thing we hear is, "What about thick spaghetti?" Wtf?

And in conclusion I am so in love with my fandom and hiatus is coming soon and I am going to die. I also have 17 fics to write, too.
