In all of the following recs, I'm only linking to specific stories. that being said, you should definitely check out all their work.

Four Drabbles. hestia8 wrote the first Spooks fic I ever read. Yay! You should read as much of her work as possible but for a quick introduction, I’m linking to four drabbles (spoilers up to the end of S3). Also, one of her newer ones that I must recommend just for the tenacity of the writing that matches the characterisation so well: Second Toughest in the Infants. (Spoilers to the end of S3)

Any one who knows me, knows that I swear by tigertrapped’s fic in any fandom. Unlike the rest of the recs here, I’m going to offer three specifics but, as always, you should just go see what she has. The first rec is Adam/Tom slash, her first foray into the fandom and still one of her best.(Power Struggles).

The Biter Bit is a cross-over, hard slash, with Alias but executed with the type of skill we’d be lucky to see more of in the fan fiction arena. An appearance by Jools Sivitar is the icing on the proverbial cake. If you’ve got the guts, I dare you to go and read the masterpiece that is Tiger Trap. A fantastic fiction; just brilliant. I can't praise it enough: it's got good writing, an engaging plot and something extra that I can't quite place, but that I know you'll love.

“I know, it's just small,” you say. “But it's just me and the cat, and you know, I don't get many visitors, and I'm not really into all that fancy stuff . . .”
Empty Places. melwil is a femslash queen amongst other things, and this is as good a place as any to start reading her work. But once you’re done, don’t stop. Find her others. She has this flair for characterisation that I envy endlessly. Oh, and not femslash but delightful all the same: Any Sensible Chap.

Five Spies, Five Senses by paratti. Wow. This fic blindsided me because it seemed to materialise from nowhere. It’s quiet and melancholy, a cold look at events post-S3, incorporating the atmosphere of post-7/7.

Edit: You also have to read perverseparagon's WIP (Appearances & Other Deceits) and then poke her to write some more. It's ~~everybody's~~ my favourite OTP: Ruth/Harry and she must be encouraged to write more!
