Spoilers throughout.

Hex

Who is the new blonde hanging around the scary girl who happens to like tequila as much as I do? And what happened to the frightening hairstyles?! And I swear the teacher lady (Jo) is played by someone new this year. Is it me or was Hex way more scary last season?

The baby story is... ugh. OK. I can't deal with it at all. That being said, I absolutely adore Ella. She has this kiss me, kill me, fuck me, die attitude to her. I miss the ghost that used to call Thelma "Bunty", too. But mostly, I'm glad the show's back. I LOVE Thelma; she's still hilarious.

Supernatural
So. The Ackles Crush? Not dissipating any time soon. That grin at the end? Heh. And like I've already said, the penultimate scene was brilliantly well executed.

That being said, the episode was just boring. Ooh, scary. Except, um, no. I love how they were pressing the brotherly bonds but it's still too... obvious. I don't know. I'm ready to love this fandom but they have to givbe me something in the way of storytelling. Someone somewhere mentioned the Charmed wendigo episode. Ha. That would be the only episode of the first season that I, you know, missed. So, headdesk there. I wish I'd seen it now because it would have made for a useful comparison. From what I recall, from what otehrs have said, I thought Phoebe overcame the wendigo by an oppression of her fears? And something about light? Whatever. I was never a Phoebe fan anyway.

Back to Supernatural. Jensen Ackles is hilarious when he's acting pissed. He over-enunciates Eveything and his vowels become really, really nasal and gutteral. That's twice we've heard him growl "bitch" and twice that it's made me laugh out loud. I've not seen Jared Padalecki in anything before (not a GG fan; never had the chance to be) but so far he's not impressing me. And this isn't just because of my natural bias; he's actually not putting a lot into his role.

Next week: Amy Acker! YAY!

Heh. So. Lost S2 aired in the US last night. Yeh. This isn't that episode.

Lost

So, uh, J.J.'s really into the name Nadia, eh? Whatever. The flashbacks bore me. I'm more intereested in the woman who could so totally be a Derevko if she wasn't a philosopher. Dude - ROUSSEAU! That makes us two for two, doesn't it? John Locke and Jean Jacques Danielle Rousseau; how totally brilliant. And the woman who played her is, just, she's... wow. Yeah. I'm that coherent about her.

The golf game was awesome. Hurley doing a w00t!dance was brilliant. No Claire though. Left on the beach by her blah blah lonesome cakes. Whatever. Like I said, Rousseau stole this episode.

Did anyone read the BSG recap at TWoP? The whole mechanical thesis was something I was going to write but the recapper was far more coherent on the subject than I. Interesting stuff, though and brilliantly well put together. Now just waiting for Invasion and E-Ring (not to mention two Spooks tonight and taping House! Perhaps I can be a good fangirl again?) but first must put out the washing and read more S&S. Must.
