Um, on your userinfo page (click the blue person next to your username), it says 'journal' and 'manage'. Make the mouse hover above 'journal' and it should say 'update'. Click that, type something interesting, click send and that'll post in your journal.
On your friends page you'll see messages that other people have put in their journals. In your case, it'll just be ME because you have no other friends har-har, but you will do. I just figured this is an easy way to keep in touch once I bugger off down South. Which I sorted out today - I HAVE SOMEWHERE TO LIVE YES!
