{ I hope you get this chance }
Sep. 8th, 2005 08:50 amThe quiz night was fun. I took a bus out at 6.50 and got there fifteen minutes later; walked down to The Fairy's and got there the same time as little Jen. Esme had got there a few minutes before.
We milled around for a while and then made our way down to the pub where we sat and talked until 8.30 which was when the quiz started. There were three rounds and we pretty much sucked; there were two general knowledge sections, one music section and a bonus question which played out like Call My Bluff (oddly, we got that one right). In between, there's a raffle. If your number gets picked, you have a go at 'play your cards right'. If you win that, you win the money prize, which was quite cool. Some of the guys were there and Ads got picked - he was only one card away but he got the last one wrong. Geoff didn't get past the third or fourth card, ha!
Anyways, we were one of the losing teams because the four of us know loads of rubbish but we don't actually know anything of substance. 'Twas good fun until I got home and The Dad told me I can't go next week. (Or ever again).
Whatever, I watched the late night Lost on E4 and had much fun. Charlie's story is actually quite sad. I like the idea of his Catholicism; I also still love Locke to pieces. Sawyer's one attractive git, i'nt he? And OMG what happened to Sayid?!
The Kate/Jack pairing sped up a little this week; I'm not sure if her worry was plausible considering it's been eight days. I think the writers bank too much on knowing that it's been about eight weeks for us and so that's how we view it in terms of time. That being said, the episode was still good. I swear there's something up between Mercution and Sun; I felt good for her when she stood up to Jin (It's too hot). I still think she misunderstands her husband's love for her but I'm sure that'll play out soon.
House is on tonight; my VCR isn't back yet! Hmm. Need to go beg people again. God, this is getting to be ridiculous.
