Work was going at its usual fairly sedate pace this week - until Thursday afternoon, at which point the whole thing proceeded to blow up in my face. I had spent most of Thursday trying to fix something that had gone awry a few months ago, but that I'd only discovered on Wednesday, five minutes before leaving work. I was doing about fifty-fifty on that when I had to leave for a weekly progress meeting, during which my to-do list multiplied considerably. I've been doing a lot of work with process mapping recently, and that is soon going to clash with actual deadlines, and I've been asked to do a couple of other things. And and and--

And I love it. I mean, I was shattered on Friday, and I did have one encounter that almost made me lose my temper - something I never do in my professional sphere, except this person was so rude to me, jfc - but I love being busy. So.

If you saw my tweets this weekend, you know I spent it in London with The (Ex-)Flatmate, titless and photographing well-known Spooks locations. Saturday evening we saw The Comedy of Errors at The National Theatre which was bookended by a lot of walking. We also managed a call to T who is in the States at the moment. It was lovely to see The Flatmate again (I need to give her a new nickname. Or she should move to London with me) and it was long overdue. Brilliant weekend. I have photos to share, and a video that you might enjoy.

I now have 3.5 episodes of Borgen to catch up on, and new Bones and Fringe, too, apparently. The Mother and I are working our way through Justified series 1, which she got for Christmas. Looking forward to the third series' premiere this week. Not sure I will be able to do Justified on the Commute, but will try my utmost.

This week I'm also going to see Shame again, though this time with co-workers. This is going to be...interesting.

Letters! Some have been sent, some have been received. Am trying to be more proactive on that front, and freak out less about content, but it's a learning curve. Or an unlearning curve. Letters shouldn't be so heavy! It's okay to blather! So, am navigating that, too.

Anyway, I got home from the city today and The Dad brought Baby Cousin with him to the station to pick me up. We talked about her birthday and when we got to my house she showed me the Barbie dolls she got from her friend. Those were very quickly abandoned in favour of going through the photos I took in London, and then we made a video. It's the third we've made with the deliberate intention of talking to people. I can't call it a vlog because it's basically us being dumbasses, but it works a little like that. This week Baby Cousin decided she was a journalist with BBC News. Yeah. At some point I'm going to post it because she's cute and some of it is funny. I don't expect other people to be quite as amused as I was, but it should make some of you smile.
