{ oh, this feels strange and untrue. }
Dec. 9th, 2006 12:32 pmSo, T and I skipped the Dangarembga screenings on Thursday because it was too late and too wet to go out. Went to both of my classes yesterday - wasted two hours in Modernism just reading Ulysses out loud (it didn't help half as much as it should have but this had a lot to do with the fact that I didn't care at that particular moment) and one hour in Af. lit. There were three of us there, and I was the only one who'd read the text. It was an okay hour, though, because those classes always leave me with a lot to say. I just wish I didn't have a 3,000 word essay for Modernism to do this weekend.
Going home a week today, so probably shouldn't sleep in until 11 next Saturday. Was awake until 3 last night. The guy who plays Karl Kennedy in Neighbours was at some local club so The Flatmate, TW and K went out to see him; N was at work; T and I watched Imagine Me & You which turned out to be a delightfully funny romcom (not usually the biggest fan of romcoms, but this one is definitely worth it). Very shiny, too, so Kudos Ol Parker. Matthew Goode is a drlng in the film, Piper Perabo manages the British accent with aplomb, Anthony Stewart Head is a riot and Lena Headey is cute. Anyway, after the film, T ran me through the basic steps of salsa, and we listened to her music. So, bed at 3am.
The essay is due Thursday, so I'm going to do a rough pan today and write it tomorrow and Monday (fingers crossed). Today I'm going to watch some more Dexter, and the myriad fandoms that are actually showing this week. Huzzah.
