{ planning ahead }

So, by May 2nd (that's a week this Tuesday coming for those of you who aren't even sure which year it is) I need to have chosen the courses I want to do next year. The format is the same as this year - one double unit and two single units per semester (although in Semester 2, the reserch unit is compulsory - not an issue because I was going to pick that one anyway). Of course, I could always swap out one of the units for an alternative which may be useful. I doubt it though. We're going to talk to various tutors next week, obviously, but this is the list of courses.

By the looks of things, unless I have to take one unit in Victorian literature (which I might have to if they say that across years 2&3 I have to take one Victorian unit), I'll probably be choosing Modernism (double), Terror & Resistance in African Literature and Culture (Single), Introduction to Film Studies (Single); On Reading, The Reader in C20 American Literature (Double), Research Skills (Single, Compulsory), and then either Children's lit., Images of Women or an alternative subject (most likely philosophy omg). The thing about taking Int. to Film is that it opens me up to taking Film units in year 3 which is appealing to me at the moment. Even if I change my mind it'll be a good course.

But yeah, decisions, decisions. I have to go to a info. lecture on Tuesday and before I hand in my ballot I have to see my personal tutor (the guy who looks like he's a Hell's Angel but is actually a Shakespeare expert omg), and they'll probably tell us which units go together better or something along those lines and unless there are compulsory units that I have to take either Y2 or Y3, I should be set. It's scary, yo.

So The Rents are taking me back to uni tomorrow which means I'll be offline until they leave to come back home again. I'm working in the morning (some things never change, eh?) and then we'll go. I won't be back on LJ until I've downloaded and watched Numb3rs but as a courtesy, NO SPOILERS PLEASE.

Am stressed. I think that's all I'll say about that. Also, am about to post The fic that Ate My Brain Over Easter. I don't expect people to read past the first section but it's there, is all I'm saying.
