Thandie Newton Crashes to Bafta Win
Thandie Newton, Best Supporting Actress for her role in Crash, which won two awards, was one of the fashion queens of the night in a billowing, tea-rose, pink satin strapless, crinoline gown by Christian Lacroix, emblazoned with a black tulle bow.
"Crash, the low-budget racial drama set in modern-day Los Angeles, won Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress for Zambian-born British star Thandie Newton.
"The 33-year-old went up to collect her award clutching a tiny flower given to her by her five-year-old daughter Ripley before the ceremony.
"I'm incredibly lucky to have this and I don't expect it can get any higher," she said. [Source]
I don't have all of Thandie's speech down yet but by the sound sof things she was extrememly happy and more than that, extremely surprised!
