It seems that eljaying is a skill that you learn, obsess over and then loose if offline for more than a day. Oh dear.

Well, finally got everything onto the laptop last night (this is being done by ye faithful, The Box). Laptop will stay in bag whilst I am on the train because (a) I'm a bit paranoid about shiny! new! things! and (b) I should probably try to get ahead with my reading. Or finish that Atkinson (Behind the Scenes at the Museum - train journeys do wonders for my personal reading).

Am catching the 12.16 from town and will get to London about an hour and a houlf after that. Then I have to rush through Underground to catch the connection to Soton. I know I have to use The Victoria line to Euston and the Northern line (Southbound) to Waterloo but will they be on time??? The Underground is the most stressful part of my journey. Once I'm on that last train, I'm not going to give a shit, really. (Although I may have to get off at Winchester and find another train to take me to Soton, direct).

Right now, I need to find a duffel. This is because I have more stuff to take with me than I had when I came home. For one thing, I have to take 2 of my punjabi/sari suits so that I have something to wear at Diwali; for another, The Mother has packed food (?!). And then, of course, there's the laptop and the wireless thingummy. Yeah. Gonna have fun trying to set that one up. Not that I should need to because the uni does provide a broadband cable.

And then, when in Soton, I have to iron my clothes and set up this damn thing. I have classes tomorrow, starting at 9. Admittedly they're mostly lectures tomorrow and I do enjoy them, but I could really do without them. Who's for shifting them to Tuesday? Hmm?
