+ The HP madness is driving me insane. I wish I was still ignorant of the damn fandom. But whatever. As long as everyone's happy, right?

+ Canadian cousins came. There was a BBQ (oh god, I can't spell it in full). There was much laughter. There was Baby Cousin losing her nut. There was staying at my aunt's for the night and much talking. There were sleeping bag antics. There was a clock that we broke made the second hand turn backwards took the batteries out of. There was a little pain and discomfort. Canadian cousins left.

+ SVU is on tape and waiting for me, hurrah!

+ Can someone PLEASE tell me where I can d/l BSG? I can't find the damn thing anywhere. I'm currently in line, position 744.

+ I'm not going to do the ironing until tonight because it's too damn hot. Not a cloud in the sky (hehe, I just typed 'sky in the cloud'). Batshit crazy weather.

+ [livejournal.com profile] crouchingmajor - if you're reading this, are we still going to the cinemas on Wednesday? I figured we could watch Madagascar and Batman Begins. Or we could wait a week and see Madagascar and The Fantastic Four. Yes, no?

+ I should be writing fic. Instead I'm going to make icons. Yay.

As far as I can tell, a lot of fans aren't happy at all. From what I've read on various journals, many of them are unhappy. Guess what? The book stinks. Who'd have thought, eh? You could have knocked me down with a feather. What a turn up. An HP book that fails to satisfy readers over the age of 13? In which they can pick holes in plotting, character development and style? What next? An episode of The OC that fails to pose a thorough intellectual challenge to PhD students?

Now, now, none of the bitter. It will all be over soon. Afterall, most people are speed-reading to avoid spoilerage. And that, I geuss is my main contention with this - there's no fun to the reading process. I hate that people market in this way. It's a disgrace to the form of literature.

But still - none of the bitter. Am trying to retain the happy wholesomeness of my good mood! (xxx)

You're right, we must keep the happy quota high. I'll try to keep the bile to a minimum... xx
